The food served is all made fresh daily, starting with their broth boiled with chicken bones and anchovies with no preservatives for at least 5 hours. They also roast their own caramelized char siew and wrap their own dumplings daily. I just made a recent visit and here is my review.
Char Siew Wanton Mee RM7.50
Served with springy wanton mee and doused in enough sauce, I like that it is not too dry, they were really generous with the char siew and it was served with three wantons in the soup. Pair it with green chili for the perfect combination in every bite!
Braised Chicken Feet & Mushroom RM8.50
An old-school dish, well-marinated chicken feet and mushroom braised till tender. The sauce was thick and aromatic from the spices used. Highly recommended for those who love chicken feet!
Lion head meatballs are one my favorite food at Chan Fatt the meatballs were generously stuffed with meat. The soup was seasoned spot-on with just a tad of sweet too, this dish was just delicious!
Curry Laksa with Chicken RM7.50
Lam Yu Pork Noodles RM8.50
A crowd favorite and a solid choice if you’re in the mood for some yummy tender juicy pork with springy noodles and crispy pork lards.
Chan Fatt also serves a variety of value set meal on weekdays for breakfast and tea time! Breakfast set starts at 730am till 1030am and teatime set at 3pm till 6pm This traditional way to start your day is the best, the toast is never alone, it is perfectly complemented with soft boiled eggs and a hot drink of coffee or tea.
Butter Kaya Sandwich + 2 Half Boiled Eggs + Drink RM5
Kaya sandwich filled with butter and kaya matched with soft boiled eggs and a cup of kopi.
Butter Kaya Hainan Bread + 2 Half Boiled Eggs + Drink RM5
Perfectly cooked soft eggs with crispy toast spread with kaya jam and big chunks of butter not forgetting a cup of teh si.

ReplyDeleteThe breakfast is affordable and more variety.
ReplyDeleteI don't really eat wanton noodles, usually just the wanton, because of boric acid. But the curry laksa is so mouth watering here!!
